Serving you on the City Council is an incredible experience. It gives me the opportunity to interact with citizens in all parts of the City. It is rewarding to share your successes and concerns. Thank you for allowing me to be your advocate for the issues you care so deeply about.
I am seeking re-election to continue to be your At-large representative on City Council. I have served the City of Charlotte for more than a dozen years as asn Assistant City Manager, Budget Director and now At-large City Council member.
I am committed to providing transportation options for our residents. I will work to bring good paying jobs to Charlotte, such as Google Fiber and AT&T. Too many of our communities our have high unemployment rates. If we can match the unemployed with these job opportunities through job training and better transportation connections, we can put Charlotte to work.
I will also work to ensure that Charlotte is a city where everyone is treated with dignity. Our City will experience a population explosion in coming years. I am committed to making Charlotte a place where people of all ages want to live, work, play and stay.
The recent protests reminded us that we have not done enough for everyone in this City. I am putting forth a proposal that addresses everything from affordable housing to jobs for youth in the judicial system to rebuilding trust between the people of Charlotte and the people who serve them.
